If Linden was trying to ensure the official forums would never again be used against them by people able to grasp the concept of a valid issue, put it into words others can understand, and thus gain the support of other troublemakers of average or above intelligence, it appears they have succeeded. In what I can only assume is illegal use of dumbass bait, the forums are now owned by the stupid and offer a look into the mind of people that are scary dim. While I could give many examples, let's just stick to one for today.
Folks, if I created a post every time I was banned from a region, this blog would be boring (well, more so I mean). You need to look at bans as I do; an audience appreciation measure. Raw numbers tell me so little, but when you take the time to ban me, I know I got to you and I cannot tell you how much that means to me.
Bans aside, I recommend SL Universe for your forum needs until the idiot level in the air is dealt with at the official forums.
In the interest of disclosure, let me cover the one slight problem with SL Universe. There is not a bitch on there who feels they can sleep at night without the last word. This is great in matters of fact, but the problem is these are almost all conversions you can pretty much chart going from a simple point to low-medium intensity conflict that are basically matters of opinion no one can prove (at least to the satisfaction of others).. A thread on someone's glitch with his Geforce video card is programmed to move as quickly as humanly possible to the merits of Nvidia vs. ATI, the drivers, Open GL vs. Direct X, and so on. A comment on how many regions are hosted on simulators somehow ends up in a near impossible to take serious discussion of just how cores handle memory with arrows going back and forth like "This is basic queuing theory" which is of course not so basic that the next poster feels any obligation to concur. And then the mother of Vietnam-like posts. Is Blue Mars a virtual world? We could agree to disagree or we could go on for weeks citing authors, what we feel a virtual world is, and of course just how wrong you other dicks are.
What? Okay, fine. One more for you on how Linden is being unfair (the concept of what is and is not fair is often an obsession of the less than bright crowd since life should always be fair to everyone). In this case, fair means making graphics shitty so those with decent hardware do not make the less fortunate feel left out.
I Challenge You to Mind Your Own Damn Business
My close friend Marnix has a topic today I find interesting. Having lost all interest in the rather girl dominated claw-fest known as Plurk, I had no idea they were on the fad of "truths about you".
You know, when I play GTA IV on-line, I often tell the 12 year olds who shot me (followed by them screaming what they did to my mom in a squeaky voice) a fact about me. Perhaps that I am not really a gun totting dude from the former Soviet Union or maybe that I like to buy 50 cans of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup and fill up my bathtub with them (don't judge me, it's great for your complexion). Because shit, I go into a fake world just so I can discuss my suck ass real world.
This fad (no matter how well intentioned) is just so freaking lame I cannot wrap the right hurtful words around it to make the blogger who came up it understand how this is like asking Bruce Willis to stop in the middle of a movie and tell you how he gave it to Demi before she left him for that punk. People come to Second Life to escape (and be girls mostly).
A lot of people in Second Life value their privacy and I think we need to respect that. If you want to tell the world about your favorite color or TV show, fine. Don't be an ass and drag others into your world inside a virtual world with real world facts hybrid.
It Will Never Last
If I've said those words about you, your product or service, or anything in general – it will last. Not only will it last, it will be very successful.
No one will ever trash their record player for compact discs. Who wants to watch rectangle TV? People will never give up their VCRs. The list goes on (as does my shame), but no company has seen more of my bitter clinging to the past than Apple. No matter the product, I know it will fail and drag them into destruction.
My frequent and loud prediction the iPod (of which I am on my third) would never go beyond Apple fanboys is the best example of my foresight weakness, but the iPhone I still feel in my heart can (and will) be a huge failure. This is why when Pixelscoop moved to support it on their site I predicted it would drag them down as well. Instead, other sites are following that lead and looking at how a site looks without that support, I give up.
Shown in order are New World Notes, Pixelscoop, and this site. The last two detected my iPhone emulator and look decent.
Having said that, my Windows Mobile device doesn't benefit from this, so this is the proof you need to make that leap. Leave your husband, clean out the accounts, and run off with me. It's now baby.

On another note, its kind of interesting how people have been really weird about Cole Marie. I just thought the girl was doing her thing not bothering anyone, and doing it as she could. I think people forgot that she is very sensitive and sometimes it gets the best of her, but you know people forget people are human behind these avatars. Its one thing, you will know about me, and this is I never forget, even in the case of Prok. And yes I confess if I can't say it to your face, I won't being saying it in text on your blog. Its just my way.
Thus it means I would say the exact same things to Prok's face I have said to her in her comments, because if she dishes the stuff out, the least she can do is take a little of it back
I get the impression that Hamlet knows how sensitive some people are but he doesn't realise you can't defend one for the other, and that people have to be able to go through the crap and get to the communication. Its how one gets unbanned as well, but I know how you are and you come across seemingly like a rose bush, with only thorns and no roses, but you are secretly a rose, if people just get though those defenses! Be cool, and hopefully people will eventually see you for what you are, unless they forgot that we are all only humans behind these facades of avatar faces and virtual guns!
I don’t have to sign on to your firm belief the government is out to get me (but you did sell me on Monsanto) so there is no need for you to agree with me all the time (that shit would be sooo boring). I like friends who challenge my belief set.
I can assure you no one is being weird about Cole Marie because that cocksucker deleted my comment and no one has a clue. However, if you look at the first video posted by her on New World Notes, you will see my comment that I felt it was very well done. I can separate her talent from her trip off the reservation. My beef here is with Hamlet really who could of saved us all some trouble by not pretending she hadn’t inferred all of us (avatars) were hiding from something. If he had the balls to email me (he has my address) and say “look, that is just not something I want in comments” that would of been the end of it and I would respect him a lot more. He just nuked it. Sad.
To her face? Prok would murder you. Really. She actually accused someone of being a limp dick the other day and said that was not for her. Any woman who goes there has an honorary pair of balls. I would not want to meet her in a dark alley and I am an armed and trained sort of guy.
Hamlet is running a business and that is fine, but he needs to be honest about that. He ignores so many stories that it ends up making him a joke. I personally find him very likable, but I have to be real about what I am doing – not running a business. I don’t sell anything, run ads, or answer to anyone (except Eggy). When I say something it is because I believe it to be true. And yes – I am wrong a good portion of the time. Very wrong.
The reason I keep doing this is not to be right (but it would be nice). It’s to get my view out there and that comes with the wonderful bonus of connecting with some really cool people along the way.
Hamlet should be honest about it then, but what I was saying is even in a market place, (if this is what his blog is) that one needs to let people address each other honestly. I mean I understand when you say its his and he's selling stuff, but unless people are being outright abusive, sometimes its best to let people with conflicting opinions have their say otherwise you are in an artificial construct.
You blog has become as it is because of your own growth, your own feeling of taking what comes, and I for the most part feel its cool. About "anti government" sentiment; I guess I don't, for the most part believe that any government really has a true incentive for service to the people of their respective countries IF they are really interested in keeping themselves in gold plated toilets at the expense of tax payers, but this is my way.

Some people like Alex Jones, takes it to a constant extreme, but its only to counteract the constant extreme from Fox news… both are really distasteful, and often I want people to shut it and stuff it but some good points are made about personal freedoms. These things were validated by my own mother 30 years previous, so I know what is coming… if they can push for it, but remember avoid my crazy talk and keep your gun by your side
When Japan speculated about invading the US, I think someone mentioned, it would be a foolish thing to do because the typical US citizen was in possession of fire arms (at the time) and wouldn't go easily.
What may be wrong for some, may be right for others, so it goes on… its about being ALLOWED to be wrong, because if we are never wrong, or never make mistakes how on earth do we ever learn a damned thing? I'm great at making mistakes! I make loads of them! Lets face it, wrong isn't wrong at the time, is it? Its called a "mistake" for a reason, because if wrong was right all the time, we have our collective heads up our collective (and virtual) back sides!

Well, Hamlet needs to do what he feels is best for his business I suppose and I can see that. In many ways he is a pioneer on the grid and every time I get pissed at him I try to step back and think about the attention he has (and continues) to bring to my beloved world.
I saw a video on You Tube the other day that drove me insane. It was an Alex Jones fan with “secret video” of a top secret underground facility to save the DNA of the elite and keep them safe during some upcoming crisis (2012 is mentioned). As I watched this “secret video” it became clear it was deja vu all over again since I had seen this “top secret” place in the 1983 hit “War Games” (oh how we love that movie) and a two hour History Channel special. Cheyenne Mountain has in fact existed since the cold war and has nothing to do with 2012 or DNA. It was home to NORAD until we decided the possibility of all out nuke war is less than likely. How someone could so paranoid (and stupid) to know none of this amazes me.
Oh the other hand, the paranoid do from time to time undercover items that were hidden, so it’s a mixed bag. I just wish they would quit using spokesmen like Charlie Sheen who is currently out on bail. Not helping the cause.
I would not want to invade the US. I’ve seen Red Dawn too many times. We are all crazy armed nuts. I am holding out hope for you however. I was watching a piece on the Military Channel the other day about an innovation 155mm SP Howitzer these two scandies (one of the Scandinavian region) were peddling and I noticed that cute little blue flag with yellow lines on their arm. They were Swedish!

As always, It makes me think, sometimes people just don't understand what the term "think for yourself" means, when it comes to "fans" of anyone.
I am however very much a fan of a Swedish site, which has some interesting stories, and interviews, I think one of which would be a super Cliff High interview as well, on Red Ice Radio, which I have been listening to for a number of years now. Its a mixed bag of things, some good, some too silly and some of it completely and utterly insane.
I do however try to attempt to keep an open mind, because even if it is utter rubbish, sometimes you never know, so if its interesting, I don't turn it off and basically listen to it like if it were symbolic or a work of fiction rather than take it for face value.
Some things are very hard and in reality, such as the interview with Birgitta Jonsdottir called "Financial War Against Iceland", which is really interesting and what was even cooler was she had gotten some really good advice from John Perkins, which has helped Iceland stand their ground and hold fast to their sovereignty. It also turns out that the only reason there was a problem with this bankruptcy, was that Uk agencies and others had hung them out to dry by freezing the assets and their own assets.
To be clear, when the IMF comes knocking on your door and you are already in possession of 88% of the assets to be returned only they have been frozen by the very same countries you are supposed to "pay back" who invested in your boom, there is a problem. Hardly anyone who is filing Bankruptcy is that liquid, so they've just been badmouthed and hit by the financial hit men. But then try telling the media who are on the Other side that.
They are trying to get Iceland to borrow more than what every person could afford to pay, in order to pay back assets that they themselves are not in possession in their own country. Its a really weird situation, I can't even pretend to talk rationally about it, but you know something, Birgitta Jonsdottir has been very articulate when speaking with Alex Jones during an interview with him most recently. Most of all, she sort of brings back hope to women for not being totally hard talking hard arses, and yet at the same time she stands her ground and can clearly and intelligently speak. Finally a female political figure I could aspire to, finally a sort of roll model… and a really cool one at that. I mean I would hardly think that anyone could be on AJ's show without having to stop him talking so much over and having a sort of deviation into the other meanings of what it could be. She holds her ground and is polite and respectful and then he obviously is too when interviewing her.

Iceland and Greece are both learning lessons I want the US to focus on. Joining something like the EU or taking money that seems easy comes with so many strings and some of them are your freedom. Granted, the other EU countries don’t want to get dragged down by Greece, but their policies are just insane. There is no way so many different countries can all meet the single standard needed to keep the Euro solid. The Greek people are going ape shit and Iceland has voted to refuse an insane tax to pay back their mafia loans causing trauma. We are war loving dicks in the states, but no outside party is screwing us around (we fuck ourselves just fine thank you). Still, they are better off than countries less developed who are foolish enough to take IMF money not knowing the strings attached are forced economic polices like currency devaluation (which only serves to keep them dependent). I am sure these smart men feel they are helping, but they are prolonging the suffering.
Do not know this Birgitta girl, but I fanned her on Facebook and we’ll see how many things she says to set off my crazy meter before I decide. Alex I have listened to and he is so far out there. He really thinks the troops are coming to round us up and slap us in camps any day now. Were this the case, he would be dead for letting us know and as a veteran I know one thing, no solider I served with would ever turn his weapon on his own people. That Alex thinks otherwise suggests him a fool or profit maker (all his advertisers sell survivalist products people in fear would buy). A New World Order is a nice thing to discuss, but until we can get the major powers to agree on a climate policy (shambles) there is nothing to fear from them scheming on this order. As we said this morning, any power who takes on the American people (crazy and armed) is going to think the Iraqi insurgency was a comic book.
If we go to the other end of the scale just opposite of the paranoid crowd is something just as bad. If the government said shoving golf balls up your ass would support the troops or would protect the flag, these people would not only do it, they would write country songs about doing it called “Shovin’ For God” and shit like that. Their family is everything to them, yet not so strong that it would be escape destruction if some gay guys were allowed to marry.
And do they love to be reeled in. In this state, the schools are supported by property tax, but they said we needed a lottery to really do it which was somehow not enough so then the stimulus money was allocated to the schools (zero jobs created) then last month we voted on a school bond (which passed). The kids are dumber than shit, teachers who are just as dumb or incompetent have to fuck or kill a child to get fired, and they still have the balls to be back soon for more money (which they will get). A private school would be out of business putting out such idiots but the government gets a bigger budget.
I hear you loud and clear, and the thing I find about Birgitta Jonsdottir she doesn't play that "left vs right" political game we've been conditioned into playing. She's playing the "the personal is political" card, something I can back up 100%.
I'm sure you understand being so gifted, you yourself probably, under times where you can't be creative find all kinds of outlets to pour out thought upon, and sometimes a bit of paranoia too.
She is no where near the crazy end on the meter either, and yet mainstream politics has not said anything to her. Not even here in this country, which is a crying shame because there are allot of people who would be well to follow the example she sets.

But yeah on all the sides, there are these blind extremes, stunning examples of what not to be, but with an ocean ignorance in a sea of isolation from information very few have examples to follow, I only mention Alex Jones because he's a sort of counter point to the entire mainstream that people say, "you shouldn't listen to a thing he says because people who watch him are crazy", heck the man was going on about like the world was going to end on new year's eve 1999. And yet I'm going to say for the record, there are things he reports upon, that make me think, ok, there are things he does get right. But the hype is so sickening sometimes! Weaker minded people would be hiding under the bed cuddling their Ak-47s right now awaiting the foreign troops to swoop in. And you and I know, America is ARMED to the TEETH, it ain't happening.
But for the Record, Pakistan is also ARMED to the TEETH, guns and bullet holes fill the air, and the people sometimes, and yet they attack them with drones…. damnit, is it an experiment of what is to be? Are the American military forces actually using Pakistan as practice? Who can say? AJ has not spoken of this, so its just my madness speculating.
Forgive me for this, I think way too much, and have a heightened sense of conspiracy. Its not a medical condition, nor a mental illness, just the workings of a creative mind without enough creative channels, as creativity can turn to extremes as well.

I’ve had Alex on for a bit to see if he’s moderated his views, but the entire day seems to be devoted to kissing Jessie Ventura’s ass and selling his crazy ass book. The book that puts forward the idea (like Jones himself) that Bush & Co pulled off the 9/11 job without one mistake while that stupid fucks could not plant a single WMD, keep White House insider after insider from writing embarrassing books, and did a really shit in Iraq for a war they wanted.
Jones is not crazy. He is making some major bank. I noticed he goes on about the end coming and you starving then cuts to a commercial for seeds to grow your own food. Sure, they never mention lots of things aren’t going to grow everywhere, you may lack a farm, and oh yeah – a huge fucking climate controlled warehouse for this year of food. This last ad has a good website with some $100 10 year bacon (like I can keep bacon for more than a day in my house without eating it).
We are caught up in Afghanistan for the same reason Nixon got lost in Cambodia. People we would like to kill are there, but (like Cambodia) we can never really invade and will continue these drone attacks that wax 10:1 civilians to baddies. We need to accept their government will never be able to control their own affairs (which is great them have nukes and all) and we cannot get it done this way, so the best thing to do is say look – we have killed enough people to make the point 9/11 irritated us and bring NATO forces out in an orderly manner. I was in the army for a few minutes and I can assure you there is no need for a war to practice. That is what you do all the time when not at war. Otherwise we would show up all like “how does this thing shoot?” and get killed.
Well, never believe your government for Christ’s sake. They have no ability whatsoever to take an honest reasonable opinion. Bush wanted to open nation land for drilling or perhaps just setting on fire if a company felt so inclined. Obama is planning to take a huge slice of land out of use for things we need now like jobs because his side loves squirrels more than people. The answer lies in the middle (make sure land use is regulated) but it will never happen.
