Déjà vu All Over Again?

by Adric Antfarm on August 30, 2009

The story of Second Life is incomplete in many respects because those who wrote it are too close to it, clueless, or want to shape it.

Hamlet Au’s account is that of a Linden employee and now blogger.    The Second Life Herald book doesn’t actually talk about Second Life until you are so far into the book you feel it’s too late to ask for your money back.

As for the bloggers?  Most have come and gone.  Some now brand themselves “MMO Bloggers” since the pool wasn’t big enough for their click streams.   Those who remain are either woefully clueless (me), biased (me me), or above reporting things that might make their white gloves smell all icky.

So it was with great interest I found an old magazine article that tells a story about a very familiar two words, lessons not learned by anyone on any side, and the truth in the saying those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

As for the redacted,  it is against the policy of this blog to use RL names, physical descriptions, employment, background, etc.

CAN PROK GET ALONG WITH ANYONE???????

So it happens once and we feel bad for them, then it happens again and we start to wonder, and again, and again. I would not chalk it – I would fucking hire a plane to drag it on a banner.

Could it be the problem is with Prok?

This doesn’t seem to be the first time at the rodeo so it does raise questions, but you do know that it’s not just the sign, you have to pay for the pilot, gas, etc.

Were I a pilot I would refuse as the chance of Prok having a Stinger (which you have all seen) or Vulcan AA (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/vulcan04.jpg) is possible.

I am not going to link to it, but go to Prok’s page for the link to someone who is willing to put her life (name, career, etc) on the net.

I might email you the full article, but I won’t post it.
