This is damn creepy.
Shopping Cart Disco has gone over the top with this article and is now more relevant than Alphaville. They share a few folks so all I can imagine is some spiteful bitch is only putting in half effort at Alphaville.
Seriously, I was discussing this with someone recently and we agree Alphaville seems to be soul searching. Do they want to be a funny blog, news, attack, etc. The way they scatter so is even noticed by their rude as shit users who have posted such stupid comments as “you are using too many words” and even worse. They’ve fed those bitches on blood too much and now they need it. I quit posting there half due to them and half due to what I said in response. It’s almost like a virus.
The Disco on the other hand has a brand out there with SLsecret, major connections in the scary bitch fashion world, and while they don’t have flesh for every dinner, they do have a straight razor tucked in their Hello Kitty sock they will pull out and ram in your neck still smiling and making conversation with you.
Now, about those funny little things up there that confused your slow ass. Those are web stats. No bitch, they are not bogus “who links to who’s blog” stats which are bullshit. This is one of two sources we look at (we use this one because the colors are cooler). I won’t be a tease, we both know blue is the Disco. I know, it was hard for me to wrap my head around too.
First, this is a needless long span I used to just to be a prick. In the past few months all the blogs have stopped the flow of blood. It’s now just a trickle except for Disco who is steady (a good sign). Also, if you look at the time a user spends on Alphavilla compared to Disco, it’s not close. People read at the Disco, not peek. The only sign I don’t like is Alphaville doesn’t get by off linkage at all whereas Disco has a dangerous high dependence on Plurk. If Plurks gets Plurked up, the Disco would see an equal ass-Plurking in numbers.
A few notes. The pink line is of course NWN and it’s misleading. They lost the most because they had the most. They still have twice the numbers of anyone out there. They would need to continue at this rate until 2194 to be in last place. Alphaville throws a wrench in this by having two domains but I am pretty sure that is accounted for. Last note of course that each blog with say these numbers are wrong. They will wave Technocratic rankings or another source. Good for them. We are going with these.
And the confession. I always leave one site out because I don’t feel they give a shit about Second Life. They throw it a bone now and again, but they quit caring when their writer’s old school Second Life site went down so they could go MMO.
Okay fine. The truth? I leave them out because the numbers say one thing and one thing loud. If you stop witting about Second Life and go MMO general you will not only stop loosing base, you will take off.
God I hate them and their big orange line getting bigger like a guy working the pump while our team is sort of all sleepy.
Oh fuck them and their line. We all know what is happening here. Second Life has had it’s golden age. That doesn’t mean it is over. The capital of the Roman Empire moved from Rome to Constantinople in 359 which seems like the end but it was not. There was a very long humiliating spell of defeats, loss of territory, irrelevance, and finally a siege on Constantinople in 1453 when the last Emperor led the last of his troops in a heroic battle… Fine, it was a suicide charge. He didn’t have a chance, but the point being if the Romans can spend from 359 to 1453 going down the crapper, there is no reason we can’t enjoy Second Life for a long while even with the pointing and laughing of others. I’ll need one of you to volunteer for the suicide charge as I am out just prior, but I will stick around until then.
